Under 15 Tournament Fundraiser

The boys for the Under 15 team will be cutting firewood tomorrow, 5 June 2009 to raise money for covering this year’s tournament costs.  If anyone wants to order firewood, and support the team, call Wayne on 027-655-6487

Coming up on 6 June 2009

The Under 14 Team is taking the bus off to Te Anau, and the Second XV are taking on SBHS Red at 1.15pm at Centre Point.  The Under 15 team plays Otautau/Riverton over on field 2, Coutts Road at 1.15pm and the First XV face King’s on Saturday. Kickoff time is 12.30pm behind the school on field #1.

If you are going to the game, be there on time to see the team’s haka. The boys have been working hard on it with Piripi Gage. It looks, sounds, and feels amazing, sends shivers down the spine and surely strikes fear into the souls of their opponents!

Add a comment to this post if you have any other info, were at the game and have scores to report, standout plays/players to highlight or anything else.

Queen’s Birthday Weekend!

Fantastic start to the season overall. Great to see the First XV doing well in the new Zero Fees competition. The team earned a bonus point in this weekend’s win, with a lopsided score bolstered by three Morgan Mitchell tries. The game was terrific to watch, and plenty of fans were on hand doing just that.

The Under 15 team bounced back from a tough loss a week ago to stick it to the Southland Boys’ Blue side. Their victory was aided by the play of a few Under 14 players, who were coming off an impressive win of their own, stepping up to help their older mates.

Girls’ home games are played on the number one field on Monday nights, so come out and support these young ladies.
